The ATEX-Ex Class 1 DIV 2 is a flexible, modular mobile computer that is globally certified to class 1 division 2 handheld standards. While class 1 division 2 handhelds are unable to be used in an environment where dangerous gasses are present in normal working conditions, they are still rated to perform safely when a leak or system failure occurs. There are two different models in the ATEX-Ex line; the CK7x and the CN70x. Specifically designed to support field mobility on rugged job sites, this PDA is perfectly suited for use in transportation logistics, construction, and industrial manufacturing. Keep in touch with coworkers or report to management with dual-band WLAN, wide-area network and long-range Bluetooth operating channels for effortless wireless communication. The ATEX-Ex includes a typical QWERTY keypad as well as a numeric keypad with large function keys that can be pressed even with thick, protective work gloves. Sensors measure available light to adjust the screen’s backlight, so that readability is guaranteed even in low-visibility conditions. The self-focusing 2D barcode imaging lens with automatic read correction enables barcode scanning even through thick safety glass and near metals, and the space-saving, ergonomic design includes removable modular heads so each machine can be configured to your exact needs.
Our hazard-safe PDA runs on a Microsoft Windows processor and boasts a brilliant, yet hardy display protected by Gorilla® Glass. Jointly developed with Paragon partner Intermec, the ATEX-Ex is wear-resistant for long-lasting power. Unlike more delicate consumer handhelds, this class 1 division 2 handheld can operate in harsh environments with temperatures ranging from -20°C to more than 50°C. Even in wet, cold, or scorching heat, your intrinsically safe device will raise your standards of hardware function.
